this is a great item. the only drawback is that it has restricted charging options. in the review it said it had 3 ways to charge. I took that as i could charge the thrustmaster 3 different ways. but when i recieved the item i thought i could charge it with USB. The only way to charge it is with the orginal PSP charger, which i dont have. other than that its a great item. -- good item

Very nice battery and grip. Grip may be too big for those with small hands, but for average to big, this grip will be PERFECT.

I wish I could put this whole thing with PSP in a case though. -- Very nice

This extra battery pack/charger is definitely pretty handy espesially on long trips. However, Be very careful on the top piece that screws down onto the psp. I broke mine the first day I had it due to the weak plastic. Bah I'll make a new piece out of metal or something, but that about the only bad thing with this item.
Note: I have a FAT PSP 5.33CF, extended life battery, & now the thrustmaster & the lil bugger still hasn't needed a recharge after a week driving cross country for the holidays. woot woot. -- Caution, Breakable

This battery pack is the greatest. It gives you an extra 8-9 hours of play time. If used with the fat battery for the psp play time goes upwards around 16-20 hours. BUY IT! -- Awesome battery pack

If your constantly using the left shoulder button + analog nub like Tenchu Shadow Assassins (great game), the added weight won't help in alleviating hand cramps however if certain games doesn't have you constantly using those buttons it's a decent comfort. The best comfort will always be the PS1, PS2, and PS3 controller setup. This grip also doubles as a screen protector when flipped to the other side as well as a decent stand when you want hands-free viewing. You also get 2 charge connectors attached to the grip in case you want to charge the system either "opened" or "closed". The picture above is charging at the "closed" state meaning the grip is protecting the screen. Removing and replacing discs is just a matter of flipping the grip so that it's on top of the psp and one must be careful due to its awkward position. And assembly of this attachment to your psp is simple enough without using any tools.

I got approximately 3 hrs additional playtime when playing a disc based game (requires more battery power) which totals around 6 hrs. When viewing contents like mp4 transfers I got approximately 5 additional hrs totalling 8 hrs.

By the way, a great software for transfering, converting, and storing all your dvds and video files is PSP VIDEO 9 which is free.
